Candy Dreamland Poem by Amani AlSaddiq

Candy Dreamland

Rating: 3.5

Why are strawberries red?
Can't they be blue,
Can't bananas be pink and oranges too.
Purple cherries, green blueberries,
Anything really, who's colour varies,
Grass made out of strawberry shoelaces,
Dark chocolate tree trunk with sugar paper leaves,
And a milk white chocolate moon pulling funny faces! Teehee
Gray clouds raining skittles,
A house with gingerbread walls,
Cool warm air gushing through my hair with a chiming whistle,
A cushion made out of candy floss,
A soft marshmallowy mattress,
Oh this is my candy dreamland, and of my imagination I am the boss!
