Cancer Poem by Dante Furious

Cancer

Johnny didn’t get a toy for Christmas
He begged for plastic effigies
Fuelled by the culpable enemas of advertising
On how to fit in with other boys
On how to be social acceptable,

Instead Johnny got plastic tubes
His hair fell out
He got sores
And in the crevasse of decaying room, in a sterile hospital
He got the pitiful sobbing of a lonely mother
