Can't promise what I say

People say who they are
if you listen
words can't be taken back
once they are given
words of promise useless
when no promise intended
love cannot live
when it's already dead
love is a future
vision of two
no one can do anything to you
that you don't allow them to
crumbs followed and gobbled
like a foolish youth
words manipulated pretty
not necessarily the truth
such a game...magnificent
that I don't want to play
borrows everything you are
and nothing it repays
serve a purpose, hell even a reason!
without love leaves us empty
play your foolish games with someone else
....no longer with me
