Can'T Go On Poem by gershon hepner

Can'T Go On

“I can’t go on, I’ll go on; ”
what an oxymoronic decision.
“World full of woe, woebegone! ”
somewhat radical revision.

Life is the death of us. Birth
has alternatives we must consider;
Lot’s wife, though salt of the earth,
looked back on them and God undid her.

Flowing incessantly, tears
will sow, as your words reminisce,
fantasies, follies and fears,
never absent within our abyss.
