Can I Be Your Prince Charming? Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Can I Be Your Prince Charming?

You called me your Knight in shining armor.
That's exactly what I wanted to be.
To hear it coming right from your lips,
Was a thrilling experience for me.

Can I also be your Prince Charming?
Entrusted to you alone.
To guard you and protect you.
To lay at your feet my throne.

How I want to be the one,
To whom you will always run,
Whenever any troubles arise,
Or you just need to have some fun.

I will love you till lifes' end,
It matters not what's around the bend.
Since my heart is not my own,
Where you are is where I'm home.

The shine in this knights armor,
Is the reflection from your eyes,
The brightness of your vision,
The way you tantalize.

My coat upon the puddle
Will you step up on my steed?
My arms safely will surround you
And on to Camelot if you please!
