Calm Down Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Calm Down

Rating: 5.0

I opened door
And virtually found her
In rage and out of control
She will not listen to my call

“Oh come on what is matter “?
I will tell you later
She was in mood to bombard
I caught her impatient word

What can be worrying her?
I failed to guess but still bothered
I stared in her eyes
I found only question with why’s

Why she be troubled in mind?
I tried to sooth with one word reminder
Will you calm down and state?
She broke down almost with cry over fate

Someone had told her about my secret marriage
I was flirting and misguiding her about my age
She was astonished at such revelation
This was the cause for her irritation

I scoffed her at having such an allegation
It was causing some deterioration
“She could have given me some indication” I fired
She was taken aback and feared

I made her to calm down
There was no fact about what she had known
It was just a flicker to divert her mind
I reassured with one word” I am not blind “
