Calling Of Sleep Poem by Andrus Cassian

Calling Of Sleep

Rating: 3.0

Bury me...in a cloud of feathers and pillows
Smother me...in a dozen blankets soft as sheep wool
Bury me, smother me
back to sleep
Lullaby me, hypnotize me please
something put me back to sleep
to start this day over again, at least in my own eyes
Sad songs have dictated my morning
nudging me to always remember, always reflect
when I just wish to forget, when I just want to move on
The eye of the storm is ever so far away
but it feels so close by how many knots contort in my stomach
twisting tighter and tighter
and here I thought it would be months
before I sank so low again
guess I was unfortunately wrong
Sixth sense, stop terrorizing me
I know something is wrong
I heard it in a song
yet I don't care at all...
I just don't care at all...
I just want to sleep...
I just want to sleep...
I just want to sleep...
