Call Waiting Poem by Virginie Guillemette

Call Waiting

Rating: 4.5

pregnant pauses
in that silvery silence between
well, you know what I mean
a cryptic communication
a dream
well, she told me the truth
on your cell phone
when you left home
or was it celestial spies?
the truth in your eyes?
I guess I just tripped
on the wire.
