Call Bridge Poem by Dwitun Basumatary

Call Bridge

In the splendid quietening dreams of fore dawn
When alarms fasten the piercing drowsy eyes;
The great Bear and the Orion bid goodbye,
And fleeing shadows rush back like august downpour.

Like a papyrus in its marshy homeland
Some hedge in dewy streets; quaking all nightlong
Others drenched in beaverage and cigar flakes
Merry in vaulted rooms with tears none along

The sun in all it's galaxal radiance
Dine the antelopes in yonder darky hills.
The moon like a Tsarina in splendour smiles
In witchery dimples from the abode of dawn.

As the summer storm saddles out of its lair,
From springs of the sea to being wisphering rains.
Hushed chilly cold drowning with the swifting wind
Drowning since the time constillations were born.

Heaven does rain down songs to many at night
As wised up Mermaids hymn grander than Sirens.
A handful of lightening wrecks the deep skies-
Wrecking hearts in evening's ringing call bridges.
