Call Poem by Nathaniel Bassey

Call

With great joy my eyes flicker
My heart-beat grows thicker
It was all that I ever thought of
So much, I would cry, laugh and bluff

People know me so well
More or less as a wretched bell
Some even dared to clear
Off the way, as men so fair

To the advances of a crazy man
It just didn't go according to plan
Yet, I gave it my best
So much, like I would do in a contest

Just like heaven feels
When stars, moon and the sun thrills
My heart jumped, after all
On my phone was her call
