Calico Beach Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Calico Beach

Rating: 4.5

Bleeding grass
No one hears you
Finally the sun
It all began by the sea
Freedom
Calico beach with a rock
Tides
You had a smile from life
I was searching
We met in the Libra moon
Causes and intellect
Turbulent refrains
Meaning as volatile as winter
Now we are connected for life
No rings or ritual
We just miss one another

Passion dances like change
Summer on a laughing wing
Moonlight on a 6th floor apartment
Lovers sweating
Hours in a bed of benevolent angst
Streets of rain
We are the currents
Ebbing movements
Sails without patience
Now we wait for our tears to dry
The love never dies
Time is an old photograph
We learn our lessons
Joy dances again and again
Tonight the stars are wise
They shine on a calico beach

I sit on a rock and your still there
