Caliban Poem by Caliban Hicks

Caliban

Caliban is a freak
He can't go to sleep
The dreams haunt him
And he embraces them

Another victim falls in his wrath
This is his path
His own decision
From the incision
That tore out his heart
And him apart

Losing the love
And a tiny shove
Threw him to the abyss
Where bones rattle and hiss
Waiting to take
The little monster mistake
Away to the master
Moving him faster
To the man of the scourge
The man who will urge
Caliban to fall
While HE stands tall

Caliban's a freak
Cold hearted and weak
He wants to be free
But Caliban is me
