Calculating Consolation Poem by Sandra Feldman

Calculating Consolation

Rating: 5.0

One and one are Two,
One and one can become, Three,
But what is One, alone?
Total, misery.

However, some 'Ones' have known,
How to compensate, in part, for misery,
The Artistic refuge is not home,
But can be, deep consolation when alone,
A refuge, a short contentment,
For the lonely heart, a shading tree.
