The caged bird
Lying in a prison
singing and singing
for attention

Nothing is in the way
of the caged bird
nothing but the cage
that surrounds it

The thing that surrounds it
is its dream to be out
all it wants
is to be loose

she gets all the love it wants
and maybe even more
but she wants more than love
to be beyond the cage

The caged birds wants to explore
and see if there is more
see the world
To be a free bird
