Cage After Every Stage Poem by Krishna Mohan

Cage After Every Stage

There was once a first, there is now a last.
Once what was present, now is past.
Much water has flown, many storms raged,
few broke free, many still caged.
I ask thee, are you happily caged or broken free?

Many ages have gone, many cages are gone
many winds have blown, many birds have flown
but a bird that breaks down his tiny cage
learns that there is a cage after every stage
