Café Poem by Manish Bowzzy

Café

I found a café,
The one with love
With accordions,
And accord with peace.
The one with thin breads,
Thin, yet clear smell of lavender.
It fills my heart with tender
I sink down the soft wooden chair,
As I look upon the pink sky,
As perturbation bid its goodbyes.
I sink down the soft wooden chair.

I found a café,
The one where questions weren't asked,
For good. The thin smell of bread,
Found its way to my soul.
Nourishing it with selfish love.
I listen to all the notes,
Limpid. From a distant piano.
Under the pink sky,
Where I rest,
With my arms stretched.
On the soft chair.

I found a café
Where no one yelled,
Like minds.
That liked freedom.
Like me.
I reach out over the counter,
Place my few coins of interest,
To find the croissant
that would go on to be my
Only company.
As I sink down the soft wooden chair.

I see people,
Walking around with grace,
Shouting, but with poise.
'Bonjour Monsieur
comment puis-je vous aider? '.
'My apologies, I don't understand
Thy tongue'
Desperately trying to join the
elegant standards.
He didn't have an answer,
Neither did I.
Oui.

I found a café.
With Debussy
Swinging my soul,
Helping me silence
Chaos. I find myself
Sinking down the soft wooden chair.
A lot to explore,
Yet, I stay sinking down the soft wooden chair.
As it wraps, me in the warmth
Of those thin breads.
I want to explore.
Just not today.

I found a café,
The one with love
With accordions
