Caesars Palace Poem by Jarret Williams

Caesars Palace

Eke out another moment
Pursue, persevere with your path
Impediment will be surmounted
Vanquished like the Ottoman,
The red dragon is your saviour
Lack of talent cannot stop the flames
Just be braver, take a stand

My dynamism; unflappable.
Deny your mind ponderings
Of vulnerability
It’s disparate this time, you know
Peculiar discrepancies
Are not duplicitous
A fortunate anomaly, so take it slow

Oppose the branding you inherit,
Wrench avidity from within
Fervour is friend
Drive yourself to rapture
With fanatical cupidity
Roar to the empyrean azure,
With aching arms outstretched

For they request little but success,
Perhaps a modicum of talent,
Already removed is any lament.
And absolved, exculpated
The ambivalence at being sedulous
We can achieve, the two of us
Irregardless of our beginning

For all of the expenditure,
Harrowing to this day
Remove yourself; step back
Analyse unbiasedly
Do not submit to bribery
Repent, don’t relent
Not today.
