Bye Bye Giraffe Poem by Ima Ryma

Bye Bye Giraffe

The giraffe, a mammal most tall
And elegant as seen in wild
In Africa by humans all.
But not many studies compiled.
Giraffes fulfill few human claim,
Carry no baggage good or bad,
So conservation's no real aim.
Giraffes quietly decline - sad!
As savannah habitat dies,
For human made 'progress' to live.
No controversy - no surprise.
Humans will take, giraffes will give.

Giraffes with humans - loosely linked,
So just going slowly extinct.
