By George

The name of 'The United States
Of America' was first said
By George Washington, tempting fates,
That the rebellion that he led
Was much more than just a spat
With the obnoxious English king.
Independence was a must that
To the new land he must help bring.
And so the revolution grew,
Each state united as one force.
Out with the old, in with the new.
The rest is history, of course.

George Washington had much to say,
Abbreviated - U.S.A.
