Butterfly At Night Poem by Gene Simia

Butterfly At Night

Rating: 4.5

I walked through fields of emerald green along a path of stones,
suddenly a butterfly came to me I was on my way back home.

She fluttered rainbows in the air her eyes so fixed on me,
I wondered why she stopped to stare it was a mystery.

I walked toward my castle on the hill and much to my surprise,
the butterfly began to trace, patterns in the sky.

She traced an L, an O, a V and followed with an E, I was convinced her purpose was to communicate with me.

Her brilliance shone just like the sun her beauty unmatched by all,
I felt so warm as she approached, my soul responding to the call.

My feeling towards her grew immense as I reached to touch her wing,
my love for her equally intense in my heart I began to sing:

Lovely Monarch! The Creator's fingerprint is in your presence! He is in your innocence! Spread love as the wind carries you where it will!

Come back to me soon, I will wait until.
