Butterflies From God Poem by Jean Penner

Butterflies From God

Rating: 5.0

Ssshhh – listen close to the whispers of God,
His presence is fluttering near,
Like butterflies loosened from heaven,
In them His image is clear.

Gently God’s love drifts through our lives,
Searching for places to land,
Descending from Heaven, a symbol of hope,
It rests in the palm of His hand.

In a world sometimes darkened by troubles,
The butterflies have purpose in flight,
Like fireflies blinking a message,
In darkness their colors bring light.

They illumine our soul with serenity,
On their wings we can fly to find peace,
Then soft as the touch of an angel,
They land and uncertainties cease.

With a whisper from God, their wings flutter,
Echoing coos from a dove,
Telling our hearts that springtime has come,
Fanning our lives with His love.

Ssshhh – listen close, they are ready to fly,
With the image they leave being clear,
How could one look at a butterfly,
And not know that God is so near?
