Butterflies Poem by Mandalie Blanc

Butterflies

Rating: 5.0

Butterflies

Flying so high, until they touch the sky
you standby and watch them fly without a single goodbye
you see the beaming sun about to rest
you start to cry for not saying goodbye

Like a tired child descending from a mothers breast
its time for the sun to take a rest
although you hate to see the beauty of nature go
you can't wait for what lies ahead

You know the same beauty nature will come out tomorrow
there for there will be no sadness nor sorrow
as you gather your belongings and get ready to leave
wishing you had butterfly wings to borrow

A little baby butterfly comes and kisses you on the cheeks
with tear of joy you start to weep
noticing its time to go to sleep
you close your eyes and start to dream, about the butterflies you've seen.
