But You Still Love Me Poem by Carissa Thiessen

But You Still Love Me

Rating: 5.0

Mom and Dad,
No matter what I do
Or have done
You still love me

You have stood by
And watched me
You have let me make my choices
Whether they are good or bad
But you still love me

You have been Disappointed,
You have lost your respect for me
You have lost your trust in me
But you still love me

You have given discipline when needed
You have given strict rules
Even though I fight back at times
But you still love me

You have worried when I have been out too late
Or when you can see that I am going down the wrong path
But you still love me

You have taught me to have morales,
You have taught me about my faith
You have been my guidence
You have been my friends
You will always love me

I don't deserve your love
I have hurt you in more ways that I know
I know I have screwed up
But I thank you for letting me
Because you still love me

I am a stronger woman now
Because I have you for my parents
I love you both, and Always will.
And I know
That you will always love me too!
