Business Trip Poem by Jeffrey The Budgie

Business Trip

You took an airplane again
Looking to be someone else
Do you feel te effect of your shame
When her call rings in your pocket

A business trip
to who you want to be
It's somewhere else
Not here with your family
Through the cracks in the old door you see
The way out
to the green
Its calling's so loud

The hand of your swedish girl
is on your thigh
Do you feel old
The way her new necklace
Don't deny
Cost about a thousand euro's

A business trip
to who you want to be
It's somewhere else
Not here with us
Through the cracks in the old door you see
The way out
to the green
Its calling's so loud

I am still at bay
With new guilt and a new phone
You're off to close some sales
What does my life way on your scales?

A business trip
to who I want to be
It's somewhere else
Not here with this broken family
Through the cracks in the old door I see
The way out
to the green
Its calling's so loud
