Business In Syria,14 December 2015

Rating: 5.0

'Douma, school deaths in rocket attack'

Principal and 2 children killed,
Arbitrary summary execution
Collateral human shields,
Conspiring to have normal.

Fighter jet contrails pave roads to Damascus,
45 corpses marked their progress
Was it the Basher killing his own
Or maybe the Russians?
So many own hate, it's never alone
Touring Harasta, Saqba and Arbin
Each locality of opposition, near or within
Rainless dust of fear soaked thin,
Unified in congealed blood and persistent grotesque torment.

The world wonders who's more depraved,
More absent from humanity,
Isis or the Basher?
But killing is killing for what they're worth
Murder is murder so which one's worse
All seeking to rule by crushing their way
Impregnating country to deepest bedrock
With persistent hatred each day
Ensuring divisions,
Despondent, intractable and resolute,
Will always hold sway.

Very poignant poem and shows what a great stain on humanity the modern world is when children and hospitals are used as targets.
