Bushy Poem by stephanie spencer

Bushy

Bushy

If tears could build a stairway
and memories were a lane,
I would walk right up to
heaven to bring you home again.

No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say goodbye,
you were gone before I knew
it and god only knows why.

my heart still aches in sadness
and my secret tears still flow,
what it means to have
lost you no one will ever know.

A year since you left me
time soon goes by,
every year on this
day I'll always cry.

you will be sadly missed
I know by all,
New years reminder
that midnight call.

A smile, a tear for the
times we shared,
I wish I had more time to
show you how much I cared.

A drink and a joint I
remember you liked the most,
to you now John
we do this yearly toast.

Holding back no sadness in
this room I will allow there to be,
nothing will change that
or take that from me.

Cheerful, playful growls
I remember about you,
your my closest friend,
I never told you but its true.
