Burning Up Poem by Arno Le Roux

Burning Up

In the darkest corners even WE visit seldom deep in our mind

A candle beckons invitingly calling us to warmth physical and kind

World blows more sleet hoping to park us in on their way

Filled with fire the urges to a few we found we may say

With steady steps we move around in a world foot by foot

Judgment is ample the world your mind ready to loot

And back home the members of the same world staring

Stares outward too as their candles call too for their sharing

We stand with one close and trusty soul tight holding

Stand side by side pulling desires away from stares scolding

And while we explore each other deeper than deep

Hidden still remains our secrets not to cause shock and weep

Staring outward from the moment pulling a climax back

Back in sleet world we wear masks for the chill we won't unpack
