Burning Flame Poem by Spiritwind Wood

Burning Flame

Rating: 5.0

Nights I sit here alone
dreaming you here next to me
as I hear your voice in the wind
calling out my name
never to cry again

Just like a long lost memory
your eyes are all I see
as I look to the sky
wanting you to be my wife
in this lonely life

Where two lovers met
now never to forget
like a hammer and a stone
we were meant to be
as you set me free
my burning flame

In you I found a special place
a smile on an Angels face
as your wings cover me now
together we will fly
up so high
never to come down

And when the day is gone
you will still be the one
I hold so tight
in my arms at night
where no one else is around
