Burning Poem by Emilee

Burning

The horizon is burning;
Red and orange flames flicker.
Burning up; changing the skyline
Nothing you do can stop it;
It's completely out of your control.
Destined to happen, completely expected

The flames are spreading
Closer and closer, until they engulf the streets
Embers falling from the sky;
Littering the sidewalks.
People walking; completely oblivious
Autumnal equinox has arrived.
