Buitenzinnig

Dans, Oh dans,
totaan de trance
jij tweede ik,
jij slappe pik,
splijtzwam
van onvermogen.

Dans als een tol
dans je te dol,
dans uit je
verkrampte
kleine
pirouette.

D ans op de
castagnette,
op de krans,
op het Frans,
op de stralen
buitenzinnig.

Dans, Oh dans
als geregen kralen
die van verwrongen
strengen verdwalen
en zuig het leven
weer als een
naar binnen.

Poem of the Day

poet Robert William Service

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
