Bruised Poem by Jordan Meyer

Bruised

Rating: 3.0

The sound of the rain mimics my racing heart
The thuds in my chest beat against my aching ribs
I am being abused
by the looks of things
it may be fore the best

The oxygen is being robbed from my lungs
and with every breath I cringe
With every clap of the thunder
I begin to unhinge

Lost in what began as pain
I surrender to the darkness
Welcoming it's warmth
I relish in it's tight embrace

The grasp pulls me down
and what once was a tender caress
is now a suffocating hold

Your poem is really deep and full of emotional thoughts. It sounds like some one is giving up on something. Whatever happens there's hope everytime. You write well. You've selected your words carefully to express your emotions. Good work friend
