Bruce's Sonnet Poem by Cory Fox

Bruce's Sonnet

Beloved Father, Husband, Friend
Your compassion was more than many could muster
Your place in our hearts nothing shall rend
Nor will your legacy ever lose its luster

You wanted to help everyone you met
Your kindness has brought you many a friend
But every life you’ve touched won’t soon forget
This is only goodbye- this isn’t the end

Silver and gold are not what you sought
Your treasure’s in vast, heavenly stores
Your name’s in a book from which no man can blot
For the Kingdom of Heaven is yours

Your journey continues as you leave this place
Look down on Earth no more as you enter God’s embrace
