Broken Ego Poem by Zunda Wezi Chibwe

Broken Ego

My ego broken,
My intelligence and humor insulted,
My whole being insulted! ! !
My mind tormented,
My humiliation magnified,
My patience taken for granted, I tried to please society,
In its foolishness swam obediently,
All for the sake of acceptance,
But I have had enough!
It's time I took my stance,
Its gonna be rough, I might lose a lot,
But I was pushed this far,
If u were to kno my every thought,
You'd know society and I were never at par,
I cared less about its opinion,
I thought less of its insinuation, In my world definitions differ,
To take the hard road seems easier,
Source of my anger discovered,
A broken ego and a pride insulted.
Anger nt satisfied,
But then I think of all I sacrificed, Whats pride and ego added to that,
Painfully I decide to live with that,
Someday I'll understand,
When wiser I stand,
For now tail between my legs I rest my case,
Clear my heart and mind of this taste, Yet still insulted I stand,
Because am different bt this I will withstand.
