Broken, Poem by GeorgiaMay Hope

Broken,

Rating: 4.8

...What?
You're expecting me to fill you in with the
heart aching details?
The bones of the story!
Which is ironic in a way,
because of how easily bones can be broken.

You know what this is about already,
Human nature itself turned of you,
No matter who or what,
It was pain from your own kind,

That's why you're here reading this,
You're hoping for a lost cause,
A lost soul,
More broken than you,
So you don't feel alone,
So you feel better,
So you aren't 'that person'

'Please stop it! Go away demons! ! '
She screamed at the top of her lungs,
And as if her rib cage broken,
And out oozed her sticky liquid pieces of her remaining soul,
It was there on the floor,
melancholy,
'Just go.'

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is my first poem and I'm 15
The broken nature of the poem is meant to give you a harsh, bitter tone. Don't know if it worked or just looked daft.
On a personal level I don't feel this way anymore; But I've suffered from dark feelings, and I know how it feels to feel helpless in your own skin. This doesn't touch the surface of the depth I could go into. However I think it's a kind of poem that doesn't have to be about 'depression'. Hence there being so many tags. The main message is, we've all been hurt by someone, when we didn't expect it and the bitterness it meant to come through from there.

A very profound piece of poetry from one so young. I like the insight and articulation of the poem. A love piece indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
