Bright Stars Poem by Leon Jaime Villegas

Bright Stars

North star lonely dance
An observer caught in a trance
Watching such a bright object
Twinkling in the sky

Starry sky such arresting sight
Dark pond midnight blue
Nothing in this night
Seems as exuberant as you

There in ample skies
Seen crossing are falling stars
Tracing one to the other end
The horizon appears open

The firmament with constellations filled
Swollen with so much brightness
Delighted eyes in the spectacle...
Heart burst in happiness
