Bright Light Poem by Darren Harris

Bright Light

Rating: 1.5

The doctors say the pain won’t go away,
But they’ll try and help me so they say,
So I have to take tablets every day,
I hope they work soon and there’s no delay,

For I know its help that I need,
Because it’s me that let the devil to breed,
All he did was plant his seed,
Then on my mind he did feed,

He tortures me day and night,
I’ve really tried; I’ve tried to fight,
But he’s hard to find, he’s out of sight,
But he beckons me towards the bright light,

But I don’t want to go, that’s why I hide,
He really scares me, he keeps me petrified.
He says he loves me but I know he’s lied,
Because it’s him that tells me to commit suicide,
