Bridging The Gap!
BRIDGING THE GAP!
Is there any generation gap as people
say?
Or is it our outlook and values which
over the days,
Have gradually changed with our
materialistic ways?
Backed by tradition we too had a vision,
As we had looked beyond our childhood
days!
Exploding population and increasing
competition,
Must have in some measures had its say!
Short-lived pleasures and instant measures,
Was not the creed of earlier days!
But no chasms wide can ever separate or
divide,
A progressive mind that knows its way!

generation gap was always there. but you are right, now it has widened because of changing scenario and values. now its all about me, mine and myself. the last two lines are coming from your magnnanimous heart. good reflective poem. you are a thinkikg poet.10

Like you wrote if we are progressive, we stay in touch and like you I try. It is the changing value systems that I find difficult to fathom. Well thought out poem.
