Bridging New York By The Hudson...(Rep.)

O'er th' waters of Hudson each midnite
Stars o' emerald be seen by streetlite
Sweeping like a necklace, a striking pose
To New Yorker's it's mundane...staus quo

Snap-shot for tourists to marvel with sigh
While high-rise Westsides cover their eyes
From the sprite reflection thru'window drapes
Tho' they'd never give up this grand nightscape

Starlites o' green, swoop like pearl's 'o jade
God-Kissed...yet constructed man-made
What be these lites o'green speckled midge
It's New York's George Washington Bridge!

Written while parked....at the 96th Street Boat
Basin....off the Westside Highway overlooking
the Hudson River, and the George Washington
Bridge one cool autumn eve, by myself, musing.
