Breathe Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Breathe

Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.

I pause
Halt
Seize a moment
And then
Breathe you in,
Breathe me out.

Again,
I sojourn
Lost in your
Immense eyes
And then
You breathe me in
And I breathe you out

A touch
A flame
Kerosene
As I breathe in
What you breathe out.

Your porcelain,
My pain
I’ve no care
Breathe me in
I’ll breathe you out.

The trees quietly
Rustle in a petrification.
The hounds let out
Guttural snickers.
I can hear your pulse
Your stream of blood,
Your breaths
Your tremors.
I confiscated them -
Everything
As I breathe you in,
And you breathe me out.

The great fire
Began
A collision
A fragmentation of
The stars
Underneath the
Night
Breathe me in,
I’ll breathe you out

Or nothing,
No one
At all.
