Breast Cancer Poem by Lilli Singh

Breast Cancer

Aunties very ill
Goes away
Has some tests
And is made to stay

Mum says she sick
She might not make it through
I don't know what's wrong with her
I have no freaking clue

Watching the TV
Sitting alone
Are her two kids
Wondering, if their mum is coming home

Friday night
Visiting hour
We bring chocolates
And a bunch of flowers

Aunties lying in the bed
She doesn't look alive
Now, even I'm not sure
If she's going to survive

Mum goes out
To buy some drinks
I get close to my auntie
She doesn't even blink

'What is happening to you? ' I say
'I demand to know an answer! '
She looks at me with eyes so sad and says
'I'm dying of breast cancer'
