Breaking The Sword Poem by Mubeen Sadhika

Breaking The Sword

Rating: 5.0

Unquestionable sharpness
shattered in fragments
blunt pieces poke
the power of cut
primitive barbarism
residued in discourse
tongues to recollect
flat ends meet
to smash the hone
countless weapons
waiting to conquer
hacking each other
piling up to squander.

When I read this poem I imagine a sword fight of tongues. The sharp wits of people fencing and arguing their way through a discourse. I think in this sense if you break the sword, there is a double edged meaning. Either you win the sword fight or you don't enter the argument. What do I know? Nice poem.10/10.

Ah force, greed, power, emptyness. and still we pick up the sword in vengence. I like this a lot. Mubeen
