Breaking The Apparent Dichotomy Poem by Tushar Ray

Breaking The Apparent Dichotomy

Almost all persons live in a kind of prison
A prison made of ignorance out of sensual delusion
That makes us truly believe that we are apart from the rest
Though occasionally, feeling otherwise deep within

Delusions occur due to our inherent limitation of senses
As we are only reared to survive our narrow sense-bound world
And intellect that we trust so much also relying on flawed senses
That’s how we turn into hostages of own fragmented mind

Yet in love we feel from childhood a mysterious hidden connection
Seeing all things around being drenched in happy harmony
As intellect stops asking question without any apprehension
Realizing himself as part of a whole, though only for brief time

So, our universe truly presents a seeming dichotomy in us
And our job is to resolve that using deep introspection
In order to get final vision that we are the Love Divine
Making our intellect see the reality both without and within

Then, our intellect turns into a fine instrument of Love
Seeing things all around as the creation of Love Divine
As we begin to see the things in the way they truly are
And living our part accordingly we enjoy stable harmony

So, the dichotomy really rests in us, and not in our universe
And cognition of this essential fact is the first step to harmony
Then by proper meditation we begin to train our own mind
Reaching goal in coming days living in mind-body harmony

Truly, God has given us a great cognition power associated with the affection power and now it is with us to use it diligently.
