Brave Poem by Tom Allport

Brave

Rating: 4.5

How brave is brave
When under fire
And how to tell
A young heart's desire
That no more
A future holds
Of cuddles and touching toes
Gone forever...
Lost in a blast
No future - just a loving past
Because physical things do not last.

Yes, brave enough to hurl one's life-energy into the void, because where else does it have to go? And how else would the sphere of life expand? The one making such a gesture ends up nowhere, but traceries across the sky begin from such arcs.
