I can smell your cologne like it was yesterday
Hear your voice, though you are miles away
Nothing seems to fight these memories
The nights with you out by the sea
We'd look at the waves, you'd make me laugh
Now all I have is a photograph
I remember how I used to feel though
Up was the only way to go
So much hope in my eyes
How could I have ever seen their lies
You understood so much about me
That I could never possibly see
All the warnings, I never listened to
Like a mare racing freely through the blue
Though the time has quickly passed us by
I can still see you and your sweet smile
Eyes like the ocean, they stir in me yet
Not a single moment that I can forget
You'll always be special to me
