Bounty Poem by Shruti Goswami

Bounty

Rating: 5.0

Trees zoomed past,
In the darkness:
Like a finger,
On a touch screen.

Browsing through,
A sudden flash of light,
Man made, tearing the oppressiveness,
A firefly, oblivious of its spark,

Burning bright.
A dropp here, a shower there...
Disparity, at its peak,
A winding road, an avenue,

A lone hut, and all is quiet.
Vast stretches of emptiness,
Dotted with shrubs,
The wind zooms past through,

The skies, rendered blue,
Now black, sprinkled with stars.
And you were there, enwrapped around my soul,
Bleeding joy, and bliss.

Like the night angels, descend full moon,
To give a tender kiss.
