You wonder why I am always smiling
And why I go everywhere with my dancing shoes?
Why I bounce with every step
And hum to every song?
Why I act like all is fine
And call you all to dine
The secret is simple and beautiful
It is in a creature made wonderful
It is in the warmth in her hands
And the taste in her food
It is in the care from her heart
And the compassion in her words
It is in the way she talks
And the joy in her eyes
She is a friend and a mother
A listener and a helper
She is the one that I love
My beautiful and loving mother.
