Born To Fly Poem by Edwina Reizer

Born To Fly

Birds in a cage
that yearn to fly,
do you think
of a bright blue sky?

Are you content
to sit on a perch,
never outside
to seek and search?

God gave you wings
with which to soar
so you could sail
the breeze and explore

all of God's beauty
in this world,
flying free
with wings unfurled.

If I were a bird
I'd find a way
to escape my cage
and fly away.
