Born Free (?) Poem by Claude H Oliver II

Born Free (?)

When we enter this vale
We have no loves
We have no hates
We have no desire
To see the pearly gates
We have no bills
Or commitments to fill
We have no wars or feuds to fight
We have only ourselves to delight
We eat
We sleep
We laugh
We cry
This is done - then we die
It may well be
After all is said and done
That these things are
All we owe anyone.
