Born Again Poem by Aa Harvey

Born Again

I am a stranger in a foreign land
And I have no place to call my home.
I have travelled as a dark lonely man in this world
And I still feel the need to roam.

There's a beautiful horizon in the back of my mind;
I would start again from the beginning, if I could turn back time.

They allow me to rewind; to start again.
Now I have lost all that which I have gained.
But I begin with the knowledge of a former life. Like a train,
I charge into the new life, swallowing all future knowledge.
This time I am born to win!
I am born again.

Pick up your lies;
You have been walking all over the truth.
All I knew was worthless to a former life,
Where all I did was lose.

But now the truth shall set me free!
I shall embrace peace, love and empathy!
I shall never again suffer indignity.
I have become all knowing, all seeing;
So now such love, I shall no longer seek.

Aspire to inspire, whilst playing the lyre;
The lies are no longer necessary to lift us above.
Eyes are now wide open, keep your mouth shut!
We are all born to lose, this life we are given;
To go in search of love.
