Born Again? Poem by John Thorkild Ellison

Born Again?

Rating: 2.8

Yippee!
I'm free!
I don't agree
With the contrite heart
And the bended knee!

I'm throwing off the religious fetters
Of the folks who thought they were my betters:
Morality is a disease
So I'm doing just whatever I please:
I've had enough of cautious talk,
It's time to run and not to walk!

Yippee!
I'm free!
I don't agree
With the contrite heart
And the bended knee!

Good one. Getting even with all who think they are better.
